The Revelation of a Star's Endless Shine
A Young Woman's Autobiography of 20-Year Victories over Victimization
The new edition of Shirley's autobiography with a whole new look!
An empowering autobiography to bring humor, hope, and healing
Do you know someone suffering from a disability of unhappiness? Are you yourself a victim of a painful life? Do you feel hopeless, depressed, and empty at times due to procrastination and lack of motivation to perform certain tasks even though you desire to do so?
Want to live positively and passionately and live a life with happiness rather than accepting mediocrity?
Experience the hardships endured, the obstacles overcome, and the exquisite happiness won as Shirley reveals her endless shine.
The Revelation of a Star's Endless Shine unveils the gripping true life story of child prodigy Shirley Cheng--a blind and physically disabled victim and survivor of severe juvenile rheumatoid arthritis but more so of falsehoods in American medical system--and her loving mother Juliet Cheng.
From Juliet's victory over injustice in her 1990 internationally reported custody case with a doctor over treatment disputes, to the elation of Shirley's various academic and personal achievements, this autobiography will empower readers with life's true values and meanings.
"Shirley is more than a survivor, Shirley is a force of empowerment. Blessed with an optimistic positive attitude despite the hardships in her life, she always, always, always, looks on the bright side of every situation. Whenever I have a conversation with Shirley, I am uplifted and rejuvenated. Talking with Shirley is like taking a mini-vacation.
"In this new edition of her autobiography, you'll read about the triumph over tragedies as a child prodigy is born. You'll also be treated to photos and childhood drawings of this young lady with an endless shine. You'll learn how this juvenile with little formal education could score an exceptional 3280 on her GED test while doing all the math, calculations, chemistry, graphs and essays in her head without the use of Braille!" wrote Cynthia Brian in the foreword.
"The Revelation of a Star's Endless Shine truly lives up to its title." -Rebecca Henderson, AllBooks Reviews
"The Revelation of a Stars Endless Shine is a true story about a Mother and daughters struggle to survive the daughters health problems which consisted of severe juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, blindness not forgetting to mention pure neglect and ignorance of the medical world. This story will take its readers into a world that neither mother nor daughter was prepared for; it was a world of frustration, pain, false accusations, misleading information from medical experts, and possibly the worst experiences of loss that a mother and daughter would ever have to deal with.
"The revelation of a Star's Endless Shine is a work of art. Shirley Cheng’s writing is absolutely flawless and her ability to bring her reader into the heart of not only herself but also her mother through her words is truly amazing and magical.
"While reading this book, be prepared to feel every emotion capable to a human being such as: pain, frustration, fear, horror, love, happiness, determination, commitment, passion, and best of all, winning. This book will teach you the meaning of dedication and pure love of a mother for her daughter. It will also teach you about perseverance and strength to never give up in life." -Dorothy Lafrinere, WomensSelfEsteem.com
"Shirley's unique way of writing further provides readers with a window to her intelligence, insight, and nature. Her matter-of-fact, original style and ability to prove a point is powerful. A disturbing, and enlightening read. Authentic, honest, and profound. Will change reader's outlook." -Christina Francine, Midwest Book Review
"This heartwarming story is one you'll want to read." -Andrea Sisco, Armchair Interviews
"The book is written in a lucid, vivid and flowing style and is easy to read. It may take the reader a few days to read through because of the number of pages. But it is certainly not boring and the author holds the reader's attention all through." -Swamy Swarna, India, Book Pleasures, Scientist
"...the tale of a sensitive, intelligent, and observant girl who happens to be painfully disabled; she suffers enormously but has the extraordinary gift of a mother who is sold out for her well-being, hook, line and sinker...Juliet Cheng's gift of love to her daughter is something that many able-bodied people never get. She is the epitome of the selfless mother/caretaker extraordinaire, shining the light on the lives of quiet, exhausting devotion that mothers like her live daily.
"If you are interested in a story of hardship and happiness, of personal triumph against horrendous disadvantages, of the experience of being female, Chinese, disabled and blind and yet achieving your dreams in an adopted country—then read this book. The level of success that Shirley achieves is remarkable and inspiring—no less than her achievement in writing this book. Her work and courage alone get five stars in my book." -Linore R. Burkard, autho

Parental Rights in Children's Medical Care - Where Is Our FREEDOM to Say No?
A Look at the Injustice of the American Medical System
When doctors ask yes or no, can parents say no?
What is a more frightening nightmare for parents than their children's illness? It is the fear of losing custody of their children.
In America, parents risk losing custody of their children forever when they disagree with doctors' recommended treatments or even when they want a second opinion. The Werneckes in 2005, Corissa Mueller in 2002, Tina Phifer in 1997, and a slew of other parents, said no to doctors and lost their children.
Being a victim and survivor of this injustice, Shirley Cheng advocates parental rights in children's medical care to help today's loving parents protect and keep custody of the children of our future. Her mother Juliet Cheng had battled and won two custody cases after disagreeing with doctors' recommended treatments--treatments that would have ended her young life. The 1990 case made international headlines and gained support from celebrities such as Katharine Hepburn and Taiwan's former first lady Soong May-ling.
With this book, Shirley hopes to bring awareness to the public of this issue and inform parents of the legal consequences if they disagree with doctors' recommendations, and above all, to put an end to this crime against humanity.
This advocacy book poses these important questions, among others:
• Do Doctors Really Know best?
• Why do doctors ask yes or no when parents must say yes?
• Why are parents guilty until proven innocent?
• State vs. parents-who loves children the most?
• Does the state prosecute parents justly?
• Who is responsible for children's accidents?
• Knowledge vs. love-which ingredient is most important in children's care?
"A noble writer and fighter for freedom… Readers will not be the same after reading Cheng's passionate words." -Christina Francine, Midwest Book Reviews

"Cheng's graceful storytelling and poetry not only is a pleasure, but awe-inspiring, as her wisdom and understanding at such a young age is profound. Her resounding words are of encouragement and of good. She believes happiness begins in the heart and that readers should allow themselves the freedom to dance with their heart. A luminous read," wrote Christina Francine for Reviewer's Bookwatch on Midwest Book Review
"Dance With Your Heart is a wonderful collection of poetry and short stories that celebrate life while gently sharing the wisdom of Shirley Cheng. Her personal journey as cited in the 'About The Author' Section is worth the price of the book by itself," commented Dr. Alan Gettis.
"Reading Dance with Your Heart is a soul cleansing experience and explores the dreams, imaginings and longings of a beautiful soul," wrote Rebecca Johnson, The Rebecca Review, Amazon's Top Five Reviewer.
"It's impossible not to feel inspired and moved when reading DANCE WITH YOUR HEART - a collection of tales and poems by a young author by the name of Shirley Cheng. To say that this young woman has overcome adversity is a staggering understatement," wrote reviewer Tara Rogan, Round Table Reviews. "Most of the tales are simple on the outside, but evoke a moral that is
cleverly woven to make readers smile after each one. 'The Greedy Cat' is a distinctive story that reads like a fable, yet contains a message at the end that is both crafty and clever.
Each of these anecdotes imitates life and are exceedingly fun to read. The poems are also heartfelt, and many of them echo Cheng's life as well as the tribulations she has faced to get where she is now. All of these pieces have a positive spin, which is where we really see where Cheng's greatest strength truly comes from-- her attitude."
"Excellent choice for the home pleasure library, the home school curriculum as well as the public school classroom," commented reviewer and author Molly Martin, The Compulsive Reader.
