Bio: Between the two, Dave and Lillian Brummet are authors, poets, photographers and book reviewers. Their work has appeared in a variety of North American publications. Lillian's poetry book, Towards Understanding, is now available. She is also a book reviewer for Book Ideas. The Brummet's column, Trash Talk, was developed
into a book and released August 2nd, 2004. The Brummets received an award from the Recycling Council of British Columbia for "outstanding use of various media in ongoing outreach work to reduce waste in our environment". Helping to save species from extinction, donating seeds to low-income gardeners and taking produce to the local food bank are some of these results. In the summer, the Brummets can be found hiking canoeing camping or cycling abandoned railways. Come wintertime they hit the deep, fluffy snow on snowshoes or skis.
